Responsibilities

The Regional Director of Clinical Services will be responsible for, the implementation, delivery, coordination and supervision of hospice services provided consistent with Ascends' policies and procedures. These duties can include but are not limited to:

  1. Communicates all pertinent clinical and administrative information to the Administrator and all team members.
  2. Implements and monitors compliance with agency policies and procedures related to clinical services
  3. Serves as a member of the clinical management team in order to address problems associated with the delivery of clinical service; Identify staff development needs; put forth suggestions for appropriate changes in policies and procedures; participate in Performance Improvement activities; gives peer input to enhance and improve the middle management team.
  4. Supervises the maintenance of medical records assuring accuracy, completeness and compliance with licensing regulations, certification standards, legal and ethical standards.
  5. Collects and reviews pertinent clinical data at team meetings.
  6. Monitors documentation of all team nurses.
  7. Participates in staff selection and orientation of new personnel as appropriate to team responsibilities.
  8. Conducts supervisory visits to allow for observation of clinical performance of assigned team members.
  9. Provides leadership and counsel to clinical personnel to enhance staff development.
  10. Identifies need for staff education and assists in the development of in-service programs for the IDC team.
  11. Assists agency in education/training programs.

Qualifications

Education:

Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, Master's preferred

 

Professional Experience:

  • Current RN license within the state of residence
  • Minimum of 3 years experience as a Clinical Director/Director of Nursing
  • Experience within Hospice and/or Home Health
  • Ability to travel throughout assigned territories (will be multiple states)
  • Knowledge of Suncoast
  • Problem Solving Skills
  • Ability to work independently & in a results oriented manner
  • Must have Homecare experience
