The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for, but not limited to:

  1. Consistently completes bi-weekly payroll accurately and within time deadlines.
  2. Keeps organized records of each payroll.
  3. Provides Ad Hoc payroll reporting to local and senior leadership.
  4. Work with the HR Coordinator to ensure on-boarding of new employees is completed in a timely manner and all pre-employment requirements are met.
  5. Develop collaborative relationships with hiring managers with effective channels of communication and ensure compliance with all federal/state employment laws and regulations.
  6. Responsible for the internal transfer/promotion process.
  7. Handle temporary personnel request, including contacting the temporary agencies and dealing with billing issues.
  8. Participate in writing/revising job descriptions and the collection of salary data for use in analyses related to position and salary reviews.
  9. Assist with annual performance appraisal process.
  10. Respond to general inquiries from employees and assist HR Director with employee relation matters.
  11. Establish and maintain professional relationships with employees by behaving in ways that gains and develops trust.
  12. Recognizes and performs duties which need to be performed although not directly assigned.
  13. Participates in the development of department goals, objectives and processes.
  14. Handles employee relations counseling, outplacement counseling and exit interviewing.
  15. Assists in evaluation of reports, decisions and results of department in relation to established goals.
  16. Recommends new approaches, policies and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of the department and services performed.
  17. Maintains human resource information system (Oracle) records and compiles reports from the database.
  18. Maintains employee personnel files to ensure they contain current documentation regarding employee information.
  19. Assist with FMLA/Workers Compensation claims, questions and processing, as needed



Bachelor's Degree in a related field


Professional Experience:

  • 2-4 years of relevant HR experience
  • PHR Certification, a plus
  • Experience managing recruitment in a multi-state environment
  • Healthcare HR experience, a plus
  • Experience working with HRIS database
  • Knowledgeable with employee relations and compensation
